Series versus Title
Series versus Title, which is correct?
I am raising this topic in regards to the following contexts: User Interface (UX) and Database (DB) design.
- I am leaning towards Series in both regards. My primary rationale is that the word Title (and also Sub-Tilte) can be used as an attribute of an Issue.
- My only dislike for the term Series, is that there is no plural of the word, where as the plural of Title is Titles.
- Perhaps one could get around the confusion of the title as an attribute of an issue versus title as entity by prefixing the former with issue, such that you would have Issue Title and Issue Sub-Title... but then what would be the prefix when using the term as a entity, none? I still think this could be confusing and also leads to longer labels and column names.
